Avera Signs Tenant at Bayport Logistics Park

HOUSTON – (June 6, 2017) – Avera, a commercial real estate development, construction, and investment firm is announcing that the first tenant has signed a lease at Bayport Logistics Park, a 185 acre industrial complex in Pasadena, Texas.

Kuraray America, Inc. has signed a long-term lease for 465,851 total SF and will occupy 2 buildings across 30.5 acres, both of which will be built-to-suit and situated in the northern portion of Bayport Logistics Park.

“We are excited to have Kuraray in Bayport Logistics Park. Our location within Bayport Industrial District offers Kuraray excellent efficiencies in rail, trucking and warehousing of their product. Occupancy in buildings 2 & 3 will provide Kuraray with a campus feel, allowing for smooth product flow along with the comfort of security,” said John Nicholson, Executive Vice President of Development at Avera.

Building 2 is rail-served and will have a 36’ clear height, a building feature that is virtually non-existent in the southeast submarket. Building 3 will have a 32’ clear height. Both facilities will have state-of-the-art safety features including ESFR sprinkler systems and TPO roof systems.

Bayport Logistics Park is located on the east side of Underwood Road, just south of Fairmont Parkway, within the Bayport Industrial District. The park is also within close proximity to both Barbour’s Cut and Bayport container terminals, facilitating convenient, economical drayage to and from the ports. Park amenities include Union Pacific rail service and pipeline access.

Bayport Logistics Park includes the site formerly announced in June of 2016 as Bayport Industrial Park, a 3 building, 738,610 SF development. Bayport Logistics Park will now be used to refer to the site in its’ entirety, comprised of 185 acres.
